About Threlfall Family Tree.
Threlfall family tree starting with Henry Threlfall of 1598.

The family tree was started by my sister. After many years of searching, documenting and compiling of information my brother decided to add his bit and started his own search and added to the site. Now,I have also taken an interest and with help from a friend found "Tribal Pages".I have since been filling in the family tree with all the information my sister and brother worked so hard to compile. Adding to that all the information I have collected since I took an interest.

Our family came to Australia in 1965, from Lancaster, UK.
We were initially supposed to settle in Victoria, but on arrival were informed the migrant hostels were all full and would we mind being transferred to NSW.
We were accommodated at the Heathcote Migrant Hostel, near Liverpool, NSW. Our parents passed in 2012/2015 respectively, my sister resides in N.S.W. with my brother opting to live in Victoria, and since the passing of our parents I have moved to Queensland, so now I and my siblings are spread across the full length of the east coast of Australia.

To say we are a mixed lot, would be an under statement. Our parents were both of English origin as was my elder brother. I was born in Germany, my sister in Singapore, my son in the U.S.A and my daughter in Australia, mostly due to military service. We now add Chinese to the family and I have found out one of my cousins back in the UK is married to a Russian lady. A very diverse family and from all corners of this earth.

Family Crest is in the photo section of this site.

The surname THRELFALL was of the locational group of surnames "one who came from Threlfall' an estate in the parish of Kirkham, County Lancashire. I hope you enjoy browsing through this site. I only ask one thing, while you are here, and that is. Please sign the visitors book and leave a comment if you wish. I am always looking to improve this site and a fresh pair of eyes always helps. Family and visitors to this site will notice Chinese names and photos now in the tree, this is because I have been adding my second wife's family to the tree, which by the way now go's back to 1562 indirectly, and 1598 in a direct line with a possible line back further to 1538 back in the UK, this has yet to be proven.

Possible connections, and useful information, but remember none of this has yet been proven for the Threlfall site.
(a) Eric Morecombe of ("Morcombe and Wise" British comedy duo), his mother was a Threlfall.
(b) Stories in the family (Bridson line) say this line could be related to Esther Williams 1940/50's movie star swimmer.
